Baptisms

Services

Sunday mornings at 9:00 AM & 11:00 AM

"And now why do you wait? Rise and be baptized and wash away your sins, calling on [Jesus'] name."                                                             Acts 22:16

The Church at Lake Mead believes that baptism is the immersion of a believer in water in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. It is an act of obedience symbolizing the believer’s faith in a crucified, buried, and risen Savior, the believer’s death to sin, the burial of the old life, and the resurrection to walk in.

how can I be baptized?

We celebrate Baptism Sundays often; if you are wanting to be baptized, please let us know! We ask those wishing to be baptized to attend our baptism class to learn about our core beliefs and our theology of baptism.

After attending the class, we ask for participants to submit a testimony of conversion in which we look particularly for evidences of grace and a proper understanding of the gospel. For instance, we want to make sure a person does not articulate that he or she was born a Christian or thinks that Christianity is synonymous with morality.

Our next baptism will take place at the end of the 11 AM service on Sunday, February 9. Leading up to that, we ask that you attend our baptism class on Sunday, February 2, during the 9 AM service in Room 224 (upstairs). In this class, you’ll learn more about the significance of water baptism and begin preparing your testimony to share at the baptism service.

If you would like to get baptized on December 22, please register HERE.
